The Trang An scenic complex heritage area currently has 429 relics, including 2 special national relics, 21 national relics and 36 provincial relics, evenly distributed throughout 18 communes and wards. This is the first capital of Dai Co Viet state, containing many famous historical and religious relics, unique natural and cultural values.

There are over 100 ancient houses in Trang An heritage area of Ninh Binh, which feature typical traditional architecture and cultural and historical values. Most of them, however, have downgraded and are in need of repaire and upgrade.
